The 2025 Symbiosis Art Festival introduced nine artists from Kyoto and beyond.
The title of the exhibition was “What are you doing now? to reflect our desire to imagine the “now” of someone who is not here.
To provide an opportunity to imagine the “now” of each artist, the exhibition included a video introducing their production activities, interviews with supporters, sketches of their daily lives, and other materials, giving us a glimpse not only of their works but also of their personalities and daily lives. The main sign at the entrance of the venue was made of a large movable clock and a white board, which visitors could freely draw on.
