The symbiosis art festival “The Way of Distance” traveling exhibition

finished

Venue:FUKUCHIYAMA Community Plaza 3F Citizen's Exchange Space

Because of the novel coronavirus, we’ve had more opportunities to think about the “distance” between ourselves and others. It begins with keeping a safe distance from others, but includes people you are far away from, or haven’t even met yet too. An unstable yet appropriate “distance” between the two is sought, and as if in response to that, our action was to follow that “way.” Of course, this doesn’t refer to a physical distance or path at all. There are various problems between us, as we live in contact with others, and it can be said that considering those problems is an important issue as we live together.
At this exhibition, we spotlighted the “distance” and “way” of five artists, considering how they faced reality. With each one, inseparable problems emerged, which, when faced and dealt with seriously, in reality, became a reality that moved our hearts and taught us the difficulties of coexisting.
