This exhibition featured the works of nine artists who attend the “Clay Room,” an atelier located within the facilities operated by Minami Yamashiro Gakuen.
　There are several facilities on the grounds of the school for people of different ages and disabilities, and a wide variety of people live there. Many of them visit the “clay room” as a place where they can create, and where their daily lives and work can be peacefully connected.
　Various creative activities centering on ceramics are carried out, and the users spend their time there, touching the clay and painting materials as they desire, with the facility fully respecting their wishes. When we look at the things made in this way, we can feel that they are creations, but at the same time, they are part of the daily lives of the residents. In order for visitors to feel the richness of time that flows in the clay room through each artist’s expression, the venue was set up to resemble an atelier.
